Each week you will explore a few things and at the end of 10 weeks, you will have created a blog, a twitter account, explored sites like Flickr, YouTube and Wikispaces. You'll reflect on what you've learned and how it can be used in your classroom practice.
About 23 Things
23 Things began in 2005 at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg County (NC) Public Library as a way to familiarize the library staff with the "read/write" web or Web2.0 applications.
I participated in the California School Librarians Association 23 Things as my professional goal in the 2007-2008 school year. Since then, this type of professional development has been offered by school districts and libraries around the country (and world, I suppose. Since it is a virtual learning environment, anyone can participate!)
Each week you will explore a few things and at the end of 10 weeks, you will have created a blog, a twitter account, explored sites like Flickr, YouTube and Wikispaces. You'll reflect on what you've learned and how it can be used in your classroom practice.
